1. What was the best thing about the Femtec programme? What inspired and influenced you the most?

The best thing about Femtec to this day is the Femtec spirit that I find at every event. Immediately there is this concentrated energy, creativity and inspiration in the room when Femtec women meet. I take new ideas and contacts with me from every event.

2. What would you recommend to current scholars, what is your message?

Do the things you enjoy, then you’re good at it! Do good, and talk about it! If in doubt: get advice from the Femtec Network.

3. What does the network mean to you? What distinguishes Femtec from other networks?

Some Femtec Alumnae I have known for almost 15 years, others only recently, but one thing is always the same: the exchange in the Femtec Network is very familiar and binding. It’s easy to find a common denominator and I’ve already picked up many tips and tricks from the conversations.

4. Why did you apply to Femtec at the time?

The universities impart specialist knowledge and the competence to solve technical questions. On the job you need more than that, especially soft skills such as working in changing teams, tact in dealing with complex situations, selling your own results well, strategic thinking and entrepreneurial action. When I became aware of this during my studies, the invitation to tender for the Femtec Career-Building Programme came just in time.

5. Where was the Femtec Network useful / helpful? What do you still benefit from today?

For every question I have about job topics such as job applications, career paths, work models or the compatibility of family and career, I can be sure: in the Femtec Alumnae Network I get at least one answer. This exchange and wealth of experience is priceless!
