Dr. Angela Müller

1. When and why did you decide to partner with Femtec?

For the TU Darmstadt it is both a task and a duty to create ideal conditions for the support, promotion and development of young people. The promotion of young talent and women is particularly important to us at TU Darmstadt. This is why we decided to partner with Femtec in 2003.

2. What added value do you see for participating female students?

By participating in Femtec, female students take their career planning into their own hands and build up a top-class network that not only helps them with their career entry, but also with their long-term career development. They get to know career-relevant competencies first-hand and train them for an optimal start to their career.

3. What does the Femtec Network mean for your university?

The cooperation with Femtec offers us, as a university, above all an attractive funding instrument that complements our existing equal opportunities both for women and the promotion of young academics. But it also offers us a great deal of pleasure in cooperating with leading, internationally active partners from industry and science.

4. How should scholarship holders use the programme?

As an opportunity! Femtec offers an excellent opportunity to become aware of one’s own interests and strengths, to present and  develop individual abilities and to get to know the professional world of the future. The exchange with other technology-enthusiastic women and the Femtec spirit should encourage the students to think “big” and to carry on the network and promotion idea.

5. How do you perceive the Femtec Network?

Innovative and committed, cooperative and creative, powerful and goal oriented.

“By participating at Femtec, female students take the planning of their careers into their own hands and build up a top-class network that not only helps them with their career entry, but also with their long-term career development.”
