Femtec Career-Building Programme: Empower. Connect. Inspire.
The Femtec Career-Building Programme gives you the opportunity to discover your personal talents together with other STEM enthusiasts and to develop them further – accompanied by experienced representatives from our partner companies and universities.
During the Career-Building Programme you will participate in numerous events. Here you will have the opportunity to get to know our partner companies and make personal contacts, and among other things:
In addition, you can meet many female executives and exchange ideas within the framework of personal mentoring, company events, innovation lab and regional events.
At our regular events such as field trips, the Femtec Network Meets day, as part of the school’s party, or at the summer event, you will have the chance to meet the company representatives.
You will have the opportunity to watch engineers at their workplaces. Also, during exclusive rounds of talks you can gain first-hand insights into current technological developments and you can work on them yourself at our innovation lab. You will get to know many young women who – just like you – are enthusiastic about technology and natural sciences.
No matter whether you would like to do an internship or work as a student trainee at one of the Femtec partner companies, the consultants will be happy to advise you on the design of your application documents, meaningful content, or application channels for Femtec scholarship holders in the partner companies.
At the end of your studies, we offer you individual career entry advice for a successful start to your professional life. You can also discuss your career goals, specify them and clarify upcoming decisions. In this way, you will receive valuable information about your personal career opportunities with the partner companies and tips on how to proceed.
Even as graduates and (young) professionals you can remain active in the Femtec Network. Many former participants of the Career-Building Programme are now active in the Femtec Alumnae e. V. Every year the number of Femtec graduates increases by about 100 young female engineers and natural scientists. Today, Femtec’s alumni are active in various industries and positions worldwide. Together they form a strong network which offers you the opportunity to exchange experience and information and to create contacts.
The combination of high-calibre workshops, coaching sessions, expert meetings and personal consulting services, corresponds to a five-figure sum if the building blocks were organized individually with the companies. In addition, some universities also cover your travel and accommodation expenses.
