Since 2005, the proportion of women among our Mercedes-Benz new vehicle customers in Germany has risen by 7%; more and more women are graduating with highly qualified degrees (the proportion of women graduates in 2013 was 50.8% in Germany (microcensus)), are successfully employed, and will increasingly buy our products in the future. Daimler was therefore one of the first companies in Germany to set itself a target corridor for the promotion of women in 2006: By 2020, the proportion of women in managerial positions worldwide is set to rise to 20%. At present, the proportion is 14%, which puts us on track. Daimler offers female university graduates a wide range of options for joining the company, the opportunity to work nationally and internationally in teams and projects, individual career paths, and a broad spectrum of training and personnel development programs.
