Femtec Meets Companies
What do a Thyssen Krupp elevator factory in Garzweiler, a hydroelectric plant in Kochel am See, a Porsche race course in Leipzig and a Daimler testing race track near Stuttgart have in common? Over 90 participants from Femtec’s ongoing schools visited these and further exciting sites of our partner companies and got informed about job descriptions and professional possibilities for future engineering and natural scientists. A special highlight was the opportunity to talk to Ms. Gabriele Sons, member of the Executive Board and Chief HR Officer of ThyssenKrupp Elevator AG, who answered the participants’ questions all afternoon. The students were therefore able to discuss initial professional perspectives and career possibilities as well as the company’s development perspective.
The car-enthusiasts among the students got their money’s worth on the second tour: At Porsche AG in Leipzig, they got to experience the special feeling of a Porsche ride (and the maximum PS) on the race course. At Daimler AG, the participants could test the smart electric drive themselves. Not only the speed of the car models was focused in the test rides, but also their security systems and interior designs.
In total, the students gained very informative insights and had the opportunity to engage in personal conversations with various engineers and natural scientists at each of the eleven partner companies. The excursions were therefore a great success and we want to thank our partner companies who offered a great programme!
