Femtec Alumna receives prize!
Our alumna Dr. Marianne Mertens from course 11 received the Klee prize for supporting imaging modality at tissue transplantations! The endowed prize is donated each year by the German Association for Biomedical Technology of the VDE (VDE|DGBMT) and the Foundation Family Klee. Dr. Mertens realized her dissertation "Theranostic Tissue Engineering: Magnetic Resonance Imaging of Biohybrid Vascular Grafts" at the Helmholtz Institute for Biomedical Technology. She developed a methodology to mark and visualize biohybrid vascular stents. It is an important step to establish imaging in the area of tissue engineering und therefore significantly improves the production and development of biological implants. Congratulations!
Femtec's alumnae are very successful!
