Excursion is the highlight of the first Femtec-School
Ines Ayed, electrical engineering and IT major of Course 27, summarizes her experiences from the excursion after this year’s school like this:
“During our graduate studies we would sometimes ask ourselves: ‘What am I supposed to do with all this accumulated knowledge?’ The excursion was perfect to answer this question. We made contact with a lot of people, got a variety of technical impulses, and were affirmed that with everything we have learned in our different STEM study programmes so far, we will have many possibilities for professional development. The motivation and enthusiasm that we saw in the female employees we met at Fraunhofer, E.ON, BP and Bosch, soon smoothed away our fears about not being able to manage a family and have a fulfilling job at the same time. Of course, the atmosphere within the group also contributed to the success of the excursion. We know each other for only one week, but it already feels like we have known each other for ages. Thank you Femtec for this valuable learning opportunity. We would love to repeat this experience any time!”
During the conversations with female engineers working in our partner companies – like here at BP - many important questions are being answered.
